I am 36 years old and wasn't really aware of programming when I was listening as a youngster in the 70s and early 80s. Is your new station formatted in the way one of the older Beautiful Music stations would have been programmed? [YES] I seem to recall that our station would play the occasional brighter David Rose, Nelson Riddle or Percy Faith tunes in the morning hours. Perhaps I wish there were a definitive resource available on this music, but that's well beyond my scholarly expertise.

What a great station! Please continue to play easy listening instrumentals. Other stations play mostly vocals. I much prefer intrumentals. Nelson Riddle is the greatest! And thanks for bringing back this genre of music. I used to listen to some FM radio stations in Ontario in the 1980's that played instrumentals. No one else seems to play this kind of music anymore. Now I have your station in my Favorites list.

Found your www.beautifulinstrumentals.com station quite by accident when searching for a "beautiful music station" that would allow me to listen without playing disturbing "big band" or nostalga music. There are other beautiful music format stations but none have the special touch yours has. I think when you use the word "quiet" it says it all. Easy listening has become a label that is applied indescriminatly to various types of music including "soft rock". When I found your station, and heard how tasteful and "pure" your brand of easy listening is, I immediately knew I had found a station programmed by someone who knew what they were doing. When I go to sleep, I have your station on, and when I wake up, it's there as I hit the snooze button, and there's nary a shift in the continuity. To me, listening to a format such as this, and having a cut that is harsh or not melodic, totally ruins the mood for me. Many of the artists you play have produced cuts that were of that category, and the difference between your station, and others, is that you recognize the difference and eliminate them from airplay. Indeed, kudos to you!

My name is Phill and I am 47 years old. I live in Pennsylvania and I am an avid fan of Easy Listening music. I discovered your Live365.com [BEAUTIFULinstrumentals] station an hour ago and was quite impressed with the music I heard. To be specific, I heard music from the 70s & 80s. I have a real fondness for older Easy Listening music. (Easy Listening Oldies as I would call this music) I find it rather difficult to find certain Easy Listening standards I heard at one time. Maybe, in the near future I could ask the group about finding these standards. For now, I will just make a connection with the group and introduce myself as an avid fan....Thank You for this great station!!!

I've lived in the Greater Philadelphia area since 1971. I really miss the wonderful music that used to be played on WDVR, WWSH, WPBS, WFPG, and WJBR. I will always love this music. Thanks for bringing it back. For the time being, I can only listen on my home PC. Maybe someday technology will permit me to listen in my car and at work. (I can't listen at work now--the tech geeks are afraid I will use up their precious bandwidth.) Thanks for the memories. I'll be listening.

Those of us who are baby boomers can certainly remember hearing this music as children; it was all over the radio and in public places.
This lush orchestration has fallen from popularity. Percy Faith was certainly one of the masters of the room-filling recording method. The album is relaxing to listen to, great 'mood music', and able to transport many of us back to Breautiful Music years. Simply beautiful tunes without pretense, without anything to prove.

Greetings everyone. I have been annoying Terry Woodson for some time now (right, Terry?) for some pictures from the 2008 series of concerts in Japan - where Percy Faith's music is played by a LIVE orchestra under the direction of Mr. Woodson. Here they are! I forgot to put a bookmark on the web page, so just go to The Percy Faith Pages and scroll down 3 pages or so until you see "click here for - 2008 CONCERT PICTURES FROM TERRY WOODSON." Actually this is not a hyperlink, the hyperlinks to each picture are just below this sentence (you'll see). I need to fix this up a bit - but not right now ;( With a tremendous headache (IRA evaporation headache) I didn't do a very good job on this, but at least the pics are available for everyone to see. The pictures are a little over a megabyte in size per picture, so broadband is a must. On the plus side, you will see very good picture quality ('cept when Terry is conducting which is blurred darn it!). Sorry updates to the web page have been almost non-existent, the site has been up for 11 years more or less (let's not go into that now) and it still has no table of contents. The Horror. It would be great if everyone would write a blurb about enjoying Percy Faith's recordings in the year 2008. To me, no matter how many times I hear them, I never tire of listening to the recordings, and now that we have them available on CD's, enjoying the Lp's from the CL 500 series in the 1950's is quite a treat. The "Singles Collection Vol. III" is the most amazing in terms of time-travel, as it introduces several selections heard in stereo for the first time. Percy Faith was one of the most popular easy listening recording artists of the '50s and '60s. Not only did he have a number of hit albums and singles under his own name, but Faith was responsible for arranging hits by Tony Bennett, Doris Day, Johnny Mathis, and Burl Ives, among others, as the musical director for Columbia Records in the '50s.

She was picked, in 1953, by Columbia's biggest orchestra leader, Percy Faith, to sing a vocal on a song he was recording, taken from the film "Moulin Rouge", a biographical film about Toulouse-Lautrec. The song, known as "The Song from Moulin Rouge", was recorded on January 22, 1953 and released by Columbia with the credits shown as "Percy Faith and his Orchestra featuring Felicia Sanders". The song reached #1 on all the record charts, and was to be her biggest success.
